Kadichambadi, south of the Kollidam river, is home to Soundararajan Temple where Vishnu appeared to Brahma. The temple, now in ruins, features a tank called Brighu Teertham. Neglected for years, the Brahmapureeswarar Temple underwent renovation during the 2015 Mahamaham festival. Believed to date back to the Chola period, this temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva as worshipped by Brahma, and features Pratyankara Devi, who is rarely found in a Siva temple.
