The Rajagopala Perumal temple in Bhagavatapuram, Thanjavur dt, is undergoing renovation work in preparation for samprokshanam / kumbhabhishekam, planned for 1 February 2024.

The temple was in a pitiable stated when we visited it in October 2021. Thereafter, in August 2022, a balalayam had been initiated, and work has been progressing so far.
