There is no separate sthala puranam for this temple.
The temple is located in the Agraharam housing the Jambukeswarar temple, and is opposite that temple. The Jambukeswarar temple is associated with Bodhendra Saraswati Swamigal as well as Kanchi Maha Periyavaa.
This temple is constructed with red stone and bricks except for the vimanam.
